Ensure Benefits of Government Schemes Reach the Needy Through Field Visits: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma
Jaipur, May 2026: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma chaired a district-level review meeting with officials at the Dungarpur Collectorate on Thursday, directing them to conduct regular field visits, listen to public grievances, and ensure their prompt resolution. He stressed that eligible beneficiaries must be effectively covered under government welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister reviewed various development works and departmental schemes and instructed officials to achieve targets in a time-bound and quality-driven manner. He said all departments must work in coordination to ensure effective implementation of schemes on the ground. He also directed the District Collector to regularly monitor field visits and responsibilities of sub-divisional and departmental officers.
Sharma emphasised that officers must play a key role in ensuring welfare and development by implementing public schemes effectively for all sections of society. He noted that farmers in the region have small landholdings and should be encouraged to benefit from agricultural schemes to increase productivity and income.
He also directed officials to create awareness among livestock owners and ensure they benefit from departmental schemes. Highlighting the agricultural potential of the region, he said that Dungarpur–Banswara produces high-quality mangoes and good maize yields. Therefore, a detailed plan should be prepared to promote processing units in the region, which would help increase farmers’ income and generate local employment for youth.
The Chief Minister further instructed officials to enhance public participation in the “Vande Ganga Water Conservation–Public Campaign,” ensure cleanliness of water sources, and promote water conservation initiatives under the “Karmabhoomi Se Matrabhoomi” campaign. He said a structured plan should be developed to harvest and utilise rainwater efficiently, with joint efforts from the Water Resources and PHED departments.
He also directed that all ongoing works under the Jal Jeevan Mission be completed on priority. Sharma said that Dungarpur–Banswara are districts with rich cultural heritage and traditions, and the state government is committed to giving new dimensions to their development.
The meeting was attended by Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, MP Manna Lal Rawat, MLA Shankarlal Decha, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani, TAD Commissioner Laxmi Narayan, District Collector Desh Lal Dan, Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar, and other district-level officials.
