BJP State Chiefs to Meet in Delhi as Party Prepares for Key Elections and Organisational Expansion
New Delhi, June 2026 : BJP President Nitin Nabin is set to chair a crucial meeting of the party’s state unit presidents at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Monday, as the ruling party intensifies preparations for upcoming elections and organisational initiatives across the country.
The meeting assumes significance as it comes a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with the BJP’s core leadership. Party sources indicated that Nabin is expected to share key messages and strategic directions emerging from those deliberations with state leaders.
The interaction is being viewed as an important exercise in coordinating the party’s electoral and organisational agenda ahead of several crucial political contests. Elections for 24 Rajya Sabha seats across 10 states are scheduled to be held on June 18, following the announcement by the Election Commission. In addition, elections to various Legislative Councils are also on the horizon, making strategic planning a priority for the BJP leadership.
Senior party leaders, including BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B. L. Santhosh and other national general secretaries, are expected to participate in the deliberations. Discussions are likely to focus on electoral preparedness, strengthening the party organisation and reviewing activities being undertaken across states.
A major agenda item will be the celebration of 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led Union government. The BJP has planned a series of outreach programmes and public engagement initiatives to mark the milestone, and state units are expected to play a central role in implementing these activities at the grassroots level.
The meeting will also review the performance and activities of state units while exploring ways to expand the party’s organisational presence. Special emphasis is likely to be placed on booth-level strengthening, a strategy that has long been considered one of the BJP’s key organisational strengths.
The focus on grassroots mobilisation comes as the party begins preparing for the next round of Assembly elections expected in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur in early 2027.
Another key topic expected to feature prominently is the progress of the party’s Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Maha Prashikshan Abhiyan, a large-scale training initiative for party workers. The campaign aims to cover Mandal-level units across the country and strengthen workers’ understanding of the BJP’s ideological principles, including cultural nationalism and integral humanism.
The meeting follows Nabin’s recent outreach efforts in Uttarakhand. During a visit to Dehradun on Saturday, the BJP President interacted with party workers and visited the residence of a booth-level president. Sharing details of the visit on social media, he highlighted his interaction with grassroots workers, underlining the party’s continued emphasis on strengthening its cadre base from the booth level upward.
The Delhi meeting is expected to provide a roadmap for the BJP’s electoral strategy and organisational priorities in the months ahead.
