H&TE Minister Attends Freshers’ Social at Women’s Polytechnic Aizawl

Aizawl : The Women’s Polytechnic Aizawl Students’ Union (WPASU) hosted the ‘Freshers’ Social’ event at the Multipurpose Hall of Women’s Polytechnic Aizawl on September 5, 2024, starting at 10:30 AM. The event was attended by the Higher & Technical Education Minister, Dr. Vanlalthlana.

Dr. Vanlalthlana reflected on the establishment of Women’s Polytechnic Aizawl (WPA) in 1998 and its ongoing commitment to high-quality education. He commended the institution for nurturing students with diligence and dedication. He emphasized the importance of the diploma courses offered and encouraged students to excel both academically and personally.

He noted that with 21 years of experience, the institution has continuously improved its educational standards. Dr. Vanlalthlana urged students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the institution, including skill development, marketing, and entrepreneurial initiatives.

The event featured speeches from Lalmalsawmtluangi, Vice President of WPASU, and Saidingpuii, MOP V, highlighting the importance of student involvement and leadership. Principal Pu B. Lalhmuakluaia also addressed the attendees, expressing his gratitude for the successful event.

Departments including Modern Office Practice, Beauty Culture and Cosmetology, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, and Garment Technology showcased their work. The program was well-received, and Vanlalroluahpuii, General Secretary of WPASU, concluded the event by expressing appreciation for everyone’s participation and support.
