Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Launches Mobile Chariot in Khed Taluka to Raise Awareness About Electronic Voting Machines

Pune : To promote public awareness and provide demonstrations on Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) systems ahead of the 2024 Vidhan Sabha General Election, Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar launched a mobile awareness chariot in the premises of Khed Tehsil Office.

MLA Dilip Mohite Patil, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Santosh Patil, Additional Collector Ajay More, Deputy Divisional Officer Anil Daunde, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Milind Barbhai, Tehsildar Jyoti Devare, Group Development Officer Vishal Shinde, and Chief Municipal Officer Ajinkya Randive were present at the event in Rajgurunagar.

Constituency officials have been trained on demonstrating the use of EVM and VVPAT machines. Demonstrations will be conducted in public places, including markets, malls, and other busy areas under all polling stations. Citizens are encouraged to actively participate and interact directly with the machines. Any doubts or questions they have will be addressed on the spot. The Tehsil Office also urges citizens to take advantage of these demonstrations to familiarize themselves with the voting process.
