AIIMS Director calls on CM Dr. Yadav and gives oral information about the health survey
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was paid a courtesy visit by AIIMS Bhopal Director Dr. Ajay Singh at the CM’s residence on Saturday. Dr. Singh apprised CM Dr. Yadav about the initiative of AIIMS Bhopal to provide relief from diseases in the interest of the citizens. Dr. Singh informed that an important cancer survey has been conducted in the state. 47 thousand 837 persons participated in this survey, who came from 41 districts. Of these, 28 thousand 77 (58.7%) were from rural areas and 19 thousand 760 (41.3%) were from urban areas. The AIIMS Director also presented the published booklet to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
The AIIMS Director said that the objective of the survey was focused on the age groups specified by the World Health Organisation (WHO). During data collection, information was collected on various health problems like dental caries, periodontal disease, dental furo malocclusion and oral mucosal lesions. AIIMS Director Dr. Singh informed that to make this survey systematic and effective, a new mobile application has been developed, which has been named ‘Oral Health Survey Monitoring Mobile Application’. Along with this, a special software has also been prepared for data entry, which has special entry codes for each variable.
Under a unique initiative for Madhya Pradesh, ‘Oral Health Data Bank’ has also been created, which is the first of its kind in the country. Through this effort an important step has been taken towards improving oral health in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the AIIMS Director for this achievement.
