Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma inspected the State Cyber Forensic Lab
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma today inspected the State Cyber Forensic Lab located at the Police Headquarters. During this, he observed various equipment and software being used in the lab. This includes mobile forensic software, hard disk forensic software, and video analysis process. He also reviewed the reports received from the districts and the reports sent by the lab.
During this, the Cyber Crime Branch informed about the work being done for the prevention of cyber crime by the State Cyber Forensic Lab, Regional Cyber Crime Coordination Center, State Cyber Police Station and 1930 Cyber Crime Helpline Center.
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Sharma directed to launch a comprehensive public awareness campaign to prevent cyber crimes. He asked to involve schools and colleges in this. Along with this, he also directed to partner with educational institutions to equip police officers with new emerging technologies in information technology.
Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja, Additional Director General of Police Shri Pradeep Gupta, Assistant Inspector General of Police Shri Kavi Gupta and other staff of the Cyber Forensic Lab were present during the inspection.
