Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai gave a big message to the revenue staff by sharing his experience
When I became a new MLA in 1990, a tall man who looked like a saint came to me with an application. He had been visiting the revenue office since my birth, i.e. 1964, for a revenue matter. He remembered all the details of his case and did not even need to flip through the paper. I took him to the SDM office in my car and got the matter resolved. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai narrated this incident during the review meeting of the Revenue Department in the residence office today and said that we have to improve the entire system of the revenue staff. The Revenue Department is directly connected to the common man and we have to work to improve its image. Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma was also present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Patwaris who have been stuck at one place for a long time should be removed and a system should be created in which after a fixed time, the Patwari is compulsorily transferred from that circle and tehsil area. He said that the common people need the help of the Patwari in daily government work. While instructing the officers, Mr. Sai said that it should be ensured that the Patwari works from his headquarters. Chief Minister Mr. Sai directed the officers to complete the work of transfer of land of various government offices of the state in favor of the government by running a campaign. He told the officers that the necessary action for distribution of urban leases in urban areas should be completed soon.
The Chief Minister said that the resolution of revenue matters including death transfer, partition, undisputed transfer should be expedited and it should be completed within the time limit. He said that the Revenue Department should also work rapidly on digital innovations to increase citizen facilities. Revenue Department Secretary Mr. Avinash Champawat apprised the Chief Minister about the schemes, activities and departmental requirements of the Revenue Department.
