Madhya Pradesh Redefines Its Identity in the Industrial and Investment Landscape – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is carving out a new identity in industry and investment, driven by ongoing engagements with industrial leaders. These initiatives are fostering a vibrant industrial environment across the state. A notable advancement in this direction is the recent inauguration of the Pratibha Syntex Industrial Unit in Ninora village, near Ujjain, on Sunday. This new facility, representing an investment of Rs 355 crore, is set to focus on large-scale garment manufacturing, providing employment opportunities to thousands. Remarkably, over 70 percent of the workforce at this unit are women, aligning with the state’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
At the outset, Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, District In-charge Minister Shri Gautam Tetwal, MP Shri Anil Firoziya, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Bal Yogi Shri Umeshnath Ji Maharaj, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera, Municipal Corporation Chairman Smt. Kalavati Yadav, Shri Bahadur Singh Bormundla, Managing Director of Audyogik Vikas Nigam Shri Chandramouli Shukla, Chairman of Pratibha Swaraj Private Limited Shri Shivkumar Chaudhary and Managing Director Shri Shrestha Chaudhary were present as well.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that the newly established industrial unit by Pratibha Swaraj in Ninora will not only create employment opportunities for thousands but also enhance the prosperity of nearby farming communities, contributing to increased farmer income. The initial phase of this industrial unit includes an investment of approximately Rs 100 crore, with a planned total investment of Rs 355 crore. Dr. Yadav commended the industry group’s efforts in organic farming across nearly 1.5 lakh acres. He also mentioned the state’s new pro-industry policy, noting that industry conclaves are being organized in every division. Additionally, the Chief Minister underscored the government’s commitment to doubling production and income in agriculture and animal husbandry. Currently, Madhya Pradesh contributes 9% of the country’s total milk production, with an ambitious target to raise this to 20%.
Speaking about the welfare schemes implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav acknowledged the importance of the Agni Path scheme, which has bolstered the country’s military capacity. He lauded the Prime Minister’s foresight in launching the Agnipath Yojana to maintain a strategic balance.
On the occasion of the Shastra Pujan and Ravana Dahan this year, the Chief Minister said that the state would celebrate the festival with great zeal and enthusiasm, drawing inspiration from Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. He also underscored the historical and cultural significance of Ujjayini, remarking that Ujjayini Avantika Nagri has held an important place throughout history.
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav cut the ribbon to formally open the industrial unit and also performed a puja for the machinery. He interacted with the women employees, inquiring about their jobs, salaries, working environment, and other details. Additionally, he observed the garment manufacturing process, during which a cloth featuring his own photograph was printed.
