Environmental Awareness Campaign Held In Siaha By Ud&Pa Department And Save The Riparian

Siaha : An Environmental Awareness Campaign organized by the Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation (UD&PA) Department in collaboration with Save the Riparian was held today at 11 a.m. in the DRDO Conference Hall, Siaha.

The event was chaired by Pu Romalsawma Hmar from Save the Riparian, who delivered a presentation on the importance of environmental awareness, which was well-received by the attendees. According to the collaborative efforts of UD&PA and Save the Riparian, similar events are being organized across various districts, focusing on promoting cleanliness and sanitation, educating the public about waste management, and raising awareness on river and forest conservation, tree planting, and minimizing the use of single-use plastics.

The program also saw participation from representatives of the District Planning Officer (DPO), MTP General Headquarters, Joint Village Council (VC), Mizoram Journalist Association (MJA), and Old Siaha High School. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pi K Lalruatpuii from the UD&PA.
