Instructions were also given to submit proposals from the administration and Bastar Dussehra Committee for increasing the honorarium of Manjhi, Chalaki, Member-Member in.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the world famous Bastar Dussehra festival is the most important festival of our faith and tradition, which is celebrated for the longest period. All the people of Bastar region celebrate Bastar Dussehra festival with full devotion and faith and actively participate in it. At the same time, the historical Bastar Dussehra has now become famous globally by attracting people from the country and the world, which has now increased the number of tourists as well as strengthened the income of the local people. With the blessings of Maa Danteshwari, the immense devotion of the people of Bastar and the cooperation of all the people, this year also Bastar Dussehra has been organized grandly and successfully. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai expressed the above sentiments while addressing the Muria Darbar organized on the occasion of the world famous Bastar Dussehra festival at Sirhasar Bhawan in Jagdalpur today. On this occasion, he announced to give Rs 50 lakh for development work in Madia Sarai. The Chief Minister directed the District Administration and Bastar Dussehra Committee to submit a proposal for increasing the honorarium of Manjhi-Chalaki and Member-Memberin.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai expressed happiness on attending the historic Muria Darbar of Bastar Dussehra festival and said that Muria Darbar has been organized for centuries. The Chief Minister said that Bastar Dussehra festival is a symbol of our rich culture which we all celebrate together with reverence and a spirit of cooperation. The Chief Minister described the Dussehra Pasra developed at a cost of about Rs 3 crore as a meaningful effort towards providing facilities to the Manjhi-Chalaki and other people who came to Bastar Dussehra festival and said that the budget set for Bastar Dussehra festival has been increased to Rs 50 lakh. He talked about resolving the demands and problems of Manjhi-Chalaki, members-members and officials of Bastar Dussehra Committee in Muria Darbar. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished all the people for playing an active participation in the Bastar Dussehra festival. He also released the English version of the ancestral documents of Bastar Development Authority in Muria Darbar.
In the historic Muria Darbar of Bastar Dussehra festival, ministers, MPs and MLAs of Bastar region, local public representatives, members of Bastar royal family and soil priest Shri Kamalchandra Bhanjdev, Vice President of Bastar Dussehra Committee, Majhi-Chalaki, members-members from various areas of Bastar division and a large number of dignitaries and villagers participated.
On this occasion, soil priest Shri Kamalchandra Bhanjdev, while giving information about the historical importance of Bastar Dussehra festival, called it a unique example of social harmony. He appreciated the initiative of the state government to arrange Dev Sarai for the deities coming to participate in Bastar Dussehra festival and better facilities for the stay of villagers including Manjhi-Chalaki, Pujari, Gayta. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap along with MP Bastar and Chairman Bastar Dussehra Committee Shri Mahesh Kashyap and MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kirandev congratulated and wished the people of Bastar on Bastar Dussehra festival at Muria Darbar. During this, Vice President of Bastar Dussehra Committee Shri Laxman Manjhi said that the world famous Bastar Dussehra festival has been successfully completed with the cooperation and wide participation of everyone. In the coming year, it will be celebrated with even better and grandeur. On this occasion, mobiles were gifted to Manjhi-Chalaki and members-members.
