Name in Voter List Required for Voting; Deadline for Registration is October 19 – Chief Electoral Officer S. Chockalingam

Mumbai : The schedule for the 2024 Assembly General Election has been announced, with voting set to take place in a single phase on November 20 across all 288 assembly constituencies in Maharashtra. To exercise your right to vote in this election, your name must be included in the voter list. Those who have not yet registered can still add their names to the voter list until October 19, 2024. Every voter is urged to verify that their name is included in the voter list. Those who have not yet registered should do so promptly before the October 19 deadline to ensure they can vote on election day, appealed Chief Electoral Officer and Principal Secretary S. Chockalingam.

For those who have not yet registered, there is still an opportunity to do so, either online or offline, until the night of October 19. The continuous voter registration program is ongoing. Eligible voters who have not yet registered may submit Form 6 until 10 days before the last date for filing nomination papers, i.e., October 19, 2024, to be considered for inclusion in the voter list. Mr. Chockalingam has encouraged all eligible citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their names are included in the voter list and exercise their right to vote, as well as to immediately verify that their names are on the voter list.
