1,250 Complaints on C-Vigil App Resolved, ₹100 Crore 40 Lakh Worth of Property Seized

Mumbai : The Model Code of Conduct for the Assembly General Elections – 2024 has been in effect since 15th October. From 15th to 25th October, a total of 1,259 complaints were received on the C-Vigil app across the state. Out of these, 1,250 complaints have been resolved by the Election Commission, as informed by the Chief Electoral Officer’s office.
The C-Vigil app, which enables vigilant citizens to report violations of the code of conduct, is available for download from any app store. It allows users to report such violations directly, after which the complaints are investigated by the relevant authorities, and appropriate action is taken.
In enforcement actions carried out by various state and central government agencies, assets worth ₹100 crore 40 lakh have been seized. The Chief Electoral Officer’s office confirmed that the Code of Conduct is being effectively implemented throughout the state.
