Major Action by the Excise Department Against the Production, Storage, and Transportation of Illegal and Spurious Liquor

Jaipur : A team from the District Excise Officer’s office, under the direction of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, has conducted a significant operation against the production, storage, and transportation of illegal and spurious liquor.

District Excise Officer for Jaipur City, Smt. Devika Tomar, stated that the Excise Department is actively engaged in a special campaign to combat the production, storage, and transportation of illegal and counterfeit liquor. Under the leadership of Patrolling Officers Mr. Kishan Singh, Mr. Ramchandra, and Smt. Mamta Shardul, a total of 51 cases were registered, and 90 individuals were arrested in various Excise Stations across Jaipur City. The operation resulted in the seizure of 2,830 pints of local and English liquor, 101 liters of illegal liquor, 72 bottles from other states, and six vehicles containing liquor and beer.

Additionally, approximately 1,000 liters of wash and six furnaces were destroyed during the campaign. Moving forward, special patrols and blockades will be implemented to apprehend individuals suspected of involvement in illegal liquor production and transportation.
