Mizo Chief Minister Holds Press Conference
Aizawl : After returning from a week-long visit to New Delhi, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma held a press conference today in the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall to brief the media on his engagements with senior central leaders and officials.
During the visit, the Chief Minister had productive discussions in separate meetings with the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, and Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri Piyush Goyal. He also took part in a review meeting on highways chaired by the Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari.
A major development highlighted by the Chief Minister was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement to relocate the Assam Rifles Battalion from Aizawl City to Zokhawsang. The agreement was signed at Mizoram House, New Delhi, on October 23, 2024, by the Director General of Assam Rifles and the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, General Administration Department (GAD).
The Chief Minister also shared updates on other meetings and events he participated in during his time in the capital.
