After Haryana success, CM Yogi’s outreach amis to boost BJP’s prospects in upcoming UP by-elections
Lucknow : In the recently concluded Haryana Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, secured a third consecutive victory, reinforcing its stronghold in the state. Throughout the campaign, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s public engagement and strategic dialogue with voters played a key role in mobilizing support and energizing the electorate, leaving a noticeable impact on the BJP’s success.
With the Haryana elections concluded, CM Yogi Adityanath now turns his focus back to Uttar Pradesh, where he is expected to intensify his connection with local voters in preparation for upcoming elections.
By-elections for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh are set for November 13, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be reaching out to voters to support BJP and its alliance candidates in each constituency. Through his speeches, he will appeal for a strong National Democratic Alliance (NDA) victory, building on his trust among the people, which stems from his track record of development and good governance.
From August to September, CM Yogi launched several new projects in these districts, laying a foundation for success in the by-elections through development, effective governance, and personal outreach.
While BJP and alliance candidates are actively campaigning, BJP’s ministers and officials are also engaging with voters across these nine seats. The responsibility for each seat has been entrusted to senior ministers in Yogi’s government, with all working vigorously to support the campaign.
The BJP organization is conducting door-to-door visits, encouraging voters to support the NDA by highlighting the achievements of the Yogi government, including improvements in law and order and the delivery of good governance.
Ahead of the by-elections for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has spurred a wave of development across the state, with a focus on empowering the youth. On August 17 in Ambedkar Nagar, he distributed appointment letters, sanctioned loans, and provided smartphones and tablets to young beneficiaries.
Just days later, on August 22 in Muzaffarnagar, he handed out appointment letters to nearly 5,000 young people, approved loans worth around Rs 50 crore, and distributed smartphones and tablets to over 2,500 youths.
The development drive continued as Yogi visited Mainpuri on August 27, where more than 3,700 young people received appointment letters, loans, and digital devices.
In Aligarh on August 28, he provided appointment letters to 4,000 youth, distributed loans of Rs 35 crore, handed out smartphones and tablets to over 1,500 students, and inaugurated 305 projects totaling Rs 705 crore.
In Kanpur on August 29, CM Yogi distributed appointment letters, granted loans worth Rs 191 crore, and provided smartphones and tablets to over 8,000 youth.
His development initiatives carried on into September, reaching cities like Mirzapur on September 1, Moradabad on September 2, Mainpuri again on September 3, Phulpur on September 4, Ambedkar Nagar on September 8, Ghaziabad on September 18, and Mirzapur on September 23.
In every by-election in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi has actively led the BJP campaign as a committed party worker, often resulting in significant wins for the BJP and its allies. When the Gola Gokarnath seat became vacant after the passing of MLA Arvind Giri, Yogi’s energetic campaigning helped Aman Giri secure a victory for the BJP in 2022.
Similarly, in the May 2023 by-elections, Yogi’s public outreach played a key role in the victories of Apna Dal (Sonelal) candidate Rinki Kol in Chanbe and Shafiq Ansari of Apna Dal (S) in Swar Tanda. His efforts ensured both candidates’ success in reaching the state assembly in Lucknow.
The CM’s direct engagement with the public also paved the way for Akash Saxena’s win in Rampur and Arvind Singh’s victory in Dadraul. In the Lucknow East by-election following the passing of Ashutosh Tandon, the CM campaigned for BJP candidate OP Srivastava, who ultimately won the seat.
