“Ayodhya’s Ram Temple to Welcome Devotees for Extended Hours on Ram Navami Festivities!”
Ayodhya’s Ram temple will extend its opening hours to 19 hours on Wednesday, starting from the Mangala Aarti at 3:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. During the four ‘bhog’ offerings to Lord Ram, the temple curtains will be drawn for five minutes each, in observance of Ram Navami and in anticipation of a large influx of devotees for the first Ram Navami since the consecration ceremony.
In light of this, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has urged distinguished guests to plan their visit to Ayodhya for Ram Lalla’s darshan after April 19. Special pass bookings for darshan and aarti of Ram Lalla between April 16 and 18 have been canceled, and all devotees are requested to follow the regular queueing process for entry into the Ram Mandir.
“Starting at 3:30 a.m. during the Brahma Muhurta on Ram Navami, arrangements will be made for devotees to queue up for darshan. Devotees will have the opportunity to seek darshan of Ram Lalla until 11 p.m.,” the Trust announced.
To ensure smooth darshan proceedings and to avoid inconvenience, devotees are advised not to carry mobile phones or other valuable items with them. Additionally, a service center for pilgrims has been set up by the trust at Sugreev Quila.
The celebrations at the Ram Mandir will be broadcast live by public broadcaster Prasar Bharati on Doordarshan. Ayodhya Municipal Corporation plans to install approximately 100 LED screens across the city for the live telecast of Ram Navami festivities at the Ram temple.
