Chhattisgarh’s stall is a special attraction this time at the International Trade Fair held in New Delhi. Here one can see glimpses of Dhokra art, Kosa Silk, Bastar’s bamboo crafts and other traditional crafts. Along with this, the state has also prominently displayed its industrial products, special economic zones and herbal products. Chhattisgarh has prepared its stall keeping in mind this year’s theme “Developed India @ 2047”. The state has made remarkable progress in the development of its tribal areas, employment generation, and industrial investment in recent years. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the state has created a strong industrial and social base, which has attracted investors from the country and abroad.
It is noteworthy that the 43rd India International Trade Fair has started from November 14 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This year the theme of the fair is “Developed India @ 2047”, in which all the states and union territories of the country are displaying their progress and achievements. Resident Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Bhawan, Mrs. Shruti Singh inaugurated the pavilion of Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, artists from Chhattisgarh performed Karma dance. Stalls of Chhattisgarh’s village industry, self-help groups, handloom, handicrafts, herbal, agriculture department etc. have been set up on the concept of ‘Developed Chhattisgarh @ 2047’. State Cultural Day will be celebrated on November 20 where folk artists will showcase the rich folk art and culture of the state.
