Farmers of Bhatgaon B were delighted as paddy procurement work was started in the presence of the head of the state

Under the Paddy Procurement Scheme at Support Price, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai formally inaugurated the paddy procurement work at Paddy Procurement Centre Bhatgaon B in Gunderdehi development block of Balod district.  

On getting the opportunity to participate in the inauguration of paddy procurement in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Sai on the first day of paddy procurement, the farmers present there praised it wholeheartedly, calling it an unforgettable moment for them. On this occasion, farmer Hariram Sahu of village Mongri and farmer Uttam Nishad of village Bhatgaon B, who reached the paddy procurement center to sell paddy, were very overwhelmed to be honored by the Chief Minister. Both these farmers described this moment as the most memorable and thrilling moment of their life.

He said that it is definitely a matter of pride for us to be felicitated by the head of the state on reaching the paddy procurement centre to sell our paddy. This moment will always be etched in his memory. Farmer Hariram Sahu told that he is a middle class farmer. Mr. Sahu said that the state government’s paddy procurement scheme at the support price is a great economic basis for the prosperity of his family. He told that he has sold a total of 65 quintals 20 kg of thin paddy at the paddy procurement centre. Mr. Sahu said that the Chhattisgarh government led by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai has decided to purchase 21 quintals of paddy per acre at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, which is a very commendable and farmer-friendly decision. Similarly, farmer Mr. Uttam Nishad of village Bhatgaon B said that the amount received under the state government’s paddy procurement scheme at the support price proves to be a support for his family in difficult times. He said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, like a true guardian, has understood the real needs of the farmers of the state and increased the rate of paddy purchase, which will benefit many farmers like him. Shri Uttam Nishad said that the farmers of the state are very happy with this decision of the state government and are praising this scheme a lot. He has expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai Chhattisgarh Government by thanking him wholeheartedly for this farmer-friendly decision. All the arrangements like shade, sitting, pure drinking water, toilet etc. have been ensured for the farmers coming to the paddy purchase center to sell paddy. Due to this, all the farmers are able to sell paddy easily without any inconvenience.
