Growing confidence among youth makes Bastar Olympics special

Players from remote areas of Bijapur are showing their excellent sports talent in the Bastar Olympics organized on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. Block level competitions under Bastar Olympics were inaugurated today in Bijapur and Bhairamgarh blocks. Thousands of players from the interior areas have witnessed the sunrise of good governance by participating in various sports competitions.

Block level competitions have started today from 18th in Mini Stadium of Bijapur and Bhairamgarh, which will continue till 21st November. Extensive preparations have been made by the district administration. In Bastar Olympics, players of 14-17 years and above 17 years of age are participating in shot put, discus throw, long jump, long race, relay race, badminton, football, kabaddi, archery, karate, volleyball, tug of war.

Block level Bastar Olympics was inaugurated today at the mini stadium of Bijapur in the presence of District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Kamlesh Karam, District Panchayat Member Mrs. B Pushpa Rao, District Panchayat Member Mrs. Neena Rawatiya, Municipality President Mr. Benhur and public representatives. The guests encouraged the participating players to perform excellently with sportsmanship. On this occasion, Deputy Collector and District Sports Officer Mr. Narayan Prasad Gavel, SDM Bijapur Mr. Uttam Singh Panchari, CEO Janpad Panchayat Mr. Geet Kumar Sinha along with officers-employees, sports trainers and players and dignitaries were present.
