Chandigarh : Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini while speaking regarding the availability of DAP fertilizer in the State, once again firmly clarified that there is no shortage of DAP and sufficient stock is available in the state.
While replying to the calling attention motion brought in the Vidhan Sabha on Monday regarding this issue, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further informed the House that the data regarding the availability of DAP at each Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in the state is available with the government and if any member requires information on this, it will be provided. He assured that there is currently no shortage of DAP in the state.
“Being a farmer’s son, I deeply understand the challenges farmers face regarding the availability of fertilizer. For the month of November, a total of 1,10,200 metric tons of DAP has been allocated,” shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
In response to a question about the availability of DAP stock in Sirsa, the Chief Minister informed the House that on October 1, 2024, the initial stock of DAP in Sirsa was 1,063 metric tons, and as of today, November 18, there are 2,217 metric tons available. Similarly, in the Hisar district, there is still 2,087 metric tons of DAP available. 216 metric tons of DAP more than the previous year has already been provided to the farmers, shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister reiterated that there is no shortage of DAP fertilizer in the state and farmers are intentionally misled by spreading the rumours related to shortage.
