Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision of Medicity to take shape in Ujjain: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
State to have 50 medical colleges soon
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the state will soon have 50 medical colleges. Currently, 17 government medical colleges are operating in the state, eight are under construction and 13 private medical colleges exist. The state government has invited tenders for 12 medical colleges, which will be operated on the PPP model. Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in the country in the expansion of medical education and medical facilities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave this information to the media at Samatva Bhawan before leaving for Ujjain on Thursday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Government of India has done a lot of work in the field of medical services and medical education. In this sequence, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the concept of Medicity. Under this, arrangements have been made to provide various health and medical facilities and solutions on a single campus. This vision is being realized in Ujjain in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government will continue all such development and public welfare works under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi.
