Deputy Chief Minister Dimple Kumari’s Efforts Bear Fruit, Centre Approves Two Tourism Projects for Jaipur
Jaipur : The Ministry of Finance has approved two major tourism projects for Rajasthan, worth approximately 145 crore, sent by the state’s Tourism Department.
On Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Dimple Kumari met with Union Tourism Minister Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who assured her of the quick approval of these projects.
The central government has sanctioned a project worth 49.31 crore for the development of Amer and Nahargarh forts, and a 96.61 crore project for the development of the Jal Mahal area under the special capital expenditure plan to make various tourist centers world-class.
In the state budget, Deputy Chief Minister Dimple Kumari had announced a plan worth 100 crore for the walled city area of Jaipur, and since then, she has been working towards getting the approval for ropeway projects and other plans for the development of Jal Mahal and Amer-Nahargarh from the central government.
Dimple Kumari expressed gratitude towards the Union Ministry of Finance, saying that under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, Rajasthan is benefiting fully from the double-engine government. She expressed hope that the capital expenditure of over 145 crore will expand tourist facilities in Jaipur and create employment opportunities for locals.
The Public Works Department has been selected as the executive agency for the works in the walled city of Jaipur, the Amer Development Authority for the Amer and Nahargarh projects, and the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation for the Jal Mahal development. The approval of the Jal Mahal and Amer-Nahargarh development projects under capital expenditure by the Ministry of Finance is a success of Deputy Chief Minister Dimple Kumari’s efforts.
In addition to capital expenditure for tourism, proposals for ropeway projects for the development of Nahargarh-Amer have also been sent to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for approval. Dimple Kumari met with Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday to discuss the swift approval of these proposals.
The Archaeology and Museum Department has granted clearance for the development work in the walled city of Jaipur, while the Forest Department and Rajasthan Lake Development Authority have issued clearance certificates for the development work in the Jal Mahal area.
To provide world-class facilities to tourists at tourist destinations, the Tourism Department, in addition to development works in Jaipur, is sending detailed project reports for the development of Khatu Shyam Ji and Pushkar Corridors to the Centre through PDIcor.
