Alwar District to Receive Over ₹10,000 Crore Investment, 240 MOUs Signed
Jaipur : Under the leadership of Union Minister for Forests, Environment, and Climate Change Mr. Bhupender Yadav, a grand district-level Investors Meet was successfully organized on Saturday at Tanya Resort, marking a significant milestone in the industrial development of Alwar district. The event, co-organized by the Alwar district administration, the Industry and Commerce Center, and RIICO, saw the signing of MOUs for an investment of ₹10,147.44 crore by 240 industrial units, leading to approximately 26,605 new job opportunities. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the guests, followed by a documentary showcasing the district’s industrial environment and trade landscape.
In his address as the chief guest, Union Minister Mr. Bhupender Yadav welcomed investors and entrepreneurs, emphasizing that the Rajasthan state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma, is taking significant steps to create a favorable investment climate, in line with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He highlighted the successful MOUs in fields like education, tourism, chemical industry, automobile, and agro-food sectors, noting that these agreements will serve as a milestone in the industrial growth of Alwar. The district’s strategic location, situated between the country’s capital and the state’s capital, was highlighted as a major strength, offering excellent investment opportunities due to its connectivity to major highways such as the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and NH-8. He further discussed water availability via the ERCIP plan and efforts to boost tourism, environmental protection, and green initiatives in the district.
Alwar district officials, including District Collector Dr. Artika Shukla, emphasized the state’s commitment to providing an investor-friendly environment and ensuring the timely resolution of any challenges faced by entrepreneurs. A brochure detailing investment opportunities in Alwar was also launched, providing valuable information for potential investors.
Key Sectors Receiving Investment
The district’s industrial landscape will see significant investment across various sectors, including agro-business, chemicals, education, tourism, automobile, real estate, and more. The event featured a wide array of industry leaders discussing their contributions, including major companies that signed MOUs for projects worth hundreds of crores, such as those in medical education, real estate, and auto components.
Exhibition and Stalls
The event also showcased 25 stalls, featuring products from the state government’s enterprise promotion schemes, local industrial products, handicrafts, and more. These stalls attracted significant attention from attendees, including local representatives, investors, and entrepreneurs.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by RIICO’s senior regional manager Mr. Paresh Saxena, and a national anthem performance. Local representatives, departmental officials, and industry leaders were in attendance.
