Revolving Fund Transferred to Self-Help Groups via DBT

Jaipur : A state-level women’s conference was organized at Gandhi Maidan in Udaipur on Saturday to commemorate the completion of one year of the current state government’s tenure. The event was live-streamed via video conferencing at the Baran Zilla Parishad auditorium at the district level, during which beneficiaries of various schemes were provided assistance.

Before this, Energy Minister Shri Heeralal Nagar inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp. Other dignitaries present included Baran MLA Radheshyam Bairwa, Anta MLA Kanwar Lal Meena, Kishanganj MLA Lalit Meena, former district head Nandlal Suman, district in-charge secretary Jogaram, District Collector Rohitashwa Singh Tomar, ADM Divanshu Sharma, CEO of Zilla Parishad Rajveer Singh Choudhary, and other representatives and officials.

As part of the Lakhpati Didi scheme, revolving funds amounting to ₹7.50 lakh were transferred via DBT to 5,392 beneficiaries in Baran district and 50 members of self-help groups. Through the Mahila Nidhi Bank, approximately ₹5 crore was distributed to 1,200 beneficiaries in the district. A state-level Sathi Portal was launched for self-help group members, benefitting 10,238 beneficiaries in the district. Additionally, under the Namo Drone Didi scheme, drones were distributed to seven beneficiaries, and ten were provided with electric cooking systems. Two beneficiaries received approval letters worth ₹2,500 each under the Lado Incentive Scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, three beneficiaries received ₹6,500 each for their first childbirth.

Focus on Budget Announcements and Development

During a press conference held at the Mini Secretariat auditorium in Baran, Energy Minister Shri Heeralal Nagar highlighted the achievements of the past year under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma. The government has made significant strides in public welfare and development, setting benchmarks in delivering pro-people schemes.

In the energy sector, production capacity has increased from 55-65% to 88% over the years. Adequate coal supply was ensured for operating power plants, and farmers will soon receive electricity during the daytime. The 400 KV GSS under construction in Sangod will benefit Baran farmers starting next year.

Education, Health, and Infrastructure Progress

The minister reported that 242 institutions have been operationalized as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and a new Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra has been inaugurated. A medical college with 100 student admissions was launched. Roads spanning 327 km were developed with ₹341.82 crore, including 30 km of new roads.

In agriculture, 126 solar pump systems, drip and sprinkler systems over 3,411 hectares, and onion storage units were set up. Farmers received ₹24.48 lakh in subsidies for rainwater harvesting ponds and ₹163.70 lakh for fencing.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 381 beneficiaries received central grants of ₹2.73 crore. Additionally, 3693 houses are under construction, and the PM Swanidhi scheme benefited 1,700 street vendors.

The government has taken significant steps to empower women through initiatives like the Lakhpati Didi scheme, benefiting 5,392 women with annual incomes above ₹1 lakh. Self-help groups were provided ₹44.74 crore loans. For rural development, 738 landless families were allotted residential plots, and 126 housing units were built under the PM Awas Yojana (Gramin).

In the press conference, Shri Nagar emphasized progress in education, food supply, and animal husbandry, with over 5 lakh cattle vaccinated under the FMD control program. The government is also focusing on industrial growth, offering loans worth ₹14.57 crore to small enterprises under the Chief Minister’s Small Industries Promotion Scheme.

The minister concluded by highlighting ongoing efforts in pension schemes, scholarships for students, employment, and environmental conservation, ensuring holistic development for the people of the state.
