Daily Bhaskar’s Remarkable Contribution to Journalism – CM Devendra Fadnavis on 22nd Anniversary of Daily Bhaskar

Nagpur : Highlighting Daily Bhaskar’s significant contribution to the field of journalism alongside the progress of India and Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today expressed his appreciation. He noted that this newspaper has carved a unique identity in Nagpur and has become a newspaper that the people of Nagpur feel is their own.

The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the 22nd anniversary celebration of the Nagpur edition of Daily Bhaskar, held at the Center Point Hotel in Nagpur. Present at the event were Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Ministers Shivendra Raje Bhosale and Nitesh Rane, MLAs Krupal Tumane, Vijay Wadettiwar, Zeeshan Siddiqui, Vikas Thakre, Vishwajit Kadam, along with Daily Bhaskar’s Chief Editor Manmohan Agarwal, Group Editor Prakash Dubey, Director Rakesh Agarwal, and Editor Manikant Soni, among others.

Chief Minister Fadnavis remarked that the name “Bhaskar” is synonymous with the Sun, which brings light everywhere. Similarly, wherever one travels across the country, one can see the presence of Daily Bhaskar in the morning. He noted that even in Mumbai, the newspaper has made a significant impact in a short time. The publication understands the culture and preferences of readers in the regions where it operates and reflects them in its content. Mentioning Bhaskar’s renowned Dandiya Festival and the Maha Laddu during Ganeshotsav, the Chief Minister emphasized that the newspaper has successfully maintained a clear distinction between its editorial and business departments.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, addressing the event, said that Daily Bhaskar started its Maharashtra edition in Nagpur in 2002. Since then, the newspaper has launched multiple editions across the state and introduced remarkable innovations in journalism.

During the event, Chief Minister Fadnavis felicitated seven individuals who have made notable contributions in various fields. He also unveiled the book Mahakumbh Prayagraj, created by Daily Bhaskar, which is based on information about the Kumbh Mela.
