Deputy CM Reviews Arrangements for Vijay Stambh Tribute Program at Perne Phata

Ensure Adequate Facilities for Devotees Attending the Vijay Stambh Tribute Ceremony – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Pune : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar directed all concerned departments to ensure adequate facilities for devotees attending the Vijay Stambh Tribute Ceremony at Perne Phata on January 1, 2025. He emphasized the importance of thorough planning to avoid any inconvenience for attendees and to celebrate the event peacefully and enthusiastically. He assured that the government would provide sufficient funds to meet these requirements.

Mr. Pawar was speaking during an administrative review meeting about the preparations for the Vijay Stambh Tribute Ceremony to be held in Mojhe Perne Phata, Haveli Taluka. The meeting was attended by MLA Dnyaneshwar Katke, Acting District Collector and CEO of the District Council Santosh Patil, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Joint Commissioner Shashikant Mahawarkar, Director General of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) Sunil Ware, Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, Chief Engineer of Public Works Department Atul Chavan, and Superintendent Engineer Bappa Bahir, among others.

Mr. Pawar stated that considering the anticipated number of attendees, meticulous planning should be undertaken. Efforts should be made to prevent last year’s shortcomings from recurring. Traffic arrangements, parking plans, cleanliness teams, and adequate water supply for toilets should be ensured. Additionally, tankers must be arranged to provide drinking water.

The police department should manage traffic and law and order effectively. PMPML must arrange sufficient buses, while the Public Works Department and the District Council Construction Department should repair roads. Health facilities must be adequately available, keeping in mind the large number of attendees. Senior citizens and differently-abled individuals should have easy access to pay tribute at the Vijay Stambh. Ambulances and first-aid kits should also be arranged in sufficient numbers. Mr. Pawar urged all departments to coordinate seamlessly to ensure the success of the ceremony.

Before the meeting, Mr. Pawar paid homage to the Vijay Stambh by laying a wreath.

Mr. Patil Highlights Detailed Planning
Mr. Santosh Patil mentioned that detailed planning is underway by the district administration, considering the expected crowd for the Vijay Stambh Tribute Ceremony. Senior officials, including the Divisional Commissioner and the Police Commissioner, have personally visited the site and reviewed the preparations. Meetings have been conducted with representatives of various organizations at the District Collector’s office, and their suggestions are being incorporated to ensure a successful event.

Comprehensive Review of Arrangements
A detailed review of arrangements was conducted, including beautification of the Vijay Stambh premises, lighting systems, installation of stalls and canopies, parking facilities, traffic management, health services, food arrangements, drinking water supply, road repairs, temporary toilets, cleanliness measures like garbage trucks, fire emergency vehicles, electricity supply, emergency management, and establishment of Hirakani rooms.

The meeting was attended by Pune City Sub-Divisional Officer Sneha Kiswe, Haveli Sub-Divisional Officer Yashwant Mane, and officials from Public Works Department, Pune Municipal Corporation, PMRDA Fire Department, District Council, Police Department, PMPML, Health Department, State Excise Department, and representatives of various organizations.
