Beneficiaries Kanchan and Rekha are moving towards a strong future through Mahtari Vandan Yojana

Mahtari Vandan Yojana is working as a lifesaver for the economically weaker families who make their living by doing daily wage labour. Through this scheme, they are getting financial support every month, so that they are able to focus on fulfilling the basic needs of their family as well as on the education of children and the health of the family. This scheme is not only helping to improve their financial condition, but is also providing a way to make their lives empowered and prosperous.

The financial difficulties in the life of Kanchan Bai Yadav of Bhainsma village of Korba district have reduced after getting the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Earlier, while it was challenging to meet the basic needs of the family in the struggle for livelihood, now the financial assistance received from Mahtari Vandan Yojana has given Kanchan Bai an opportunity to take a strong step towards becoming self-reliant. There are a total of 5 members in the family of beneficiary Kanchan Bai, including her husband Shri Shiv Yadav. Her husband runs the family’s livelihood through domestic farming and hard labour, but it was always difficult to meet the basic needs of the family. The assistance received from Mahtari Vandan Yojana has brought a change in his life. Now Kanchan Bai’s family is not only becoming financially empowered. Kanchan is now not only able to focus on the education and health of her children, but is also easily meeting the household expenses. Along with this, by depositing savings in the bank, she is preparing a secure financial base for the better future of the family. She says, earlier life was full of struggle, but this scheme has reduced my problems a lot. Now my family is getting a chance to live a better life. Mahtari Vandan Yojana has not only provided financial security to Kanchan Bai’s family, but has also instilled a new hope and confidence in their life. Now Kanchan’s dream of providing good education to her children and building a better future is becoming a reality.

42-year-old Rekha, a resident of Sarabhara village of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, belongs to a very poor family. Rekha, who was running the household with the help of a small tailoring shop, has been blessed with a new happiness ever since she started receiving the Mahtari Vandan amount. Rekha has three daughters and a son, all of whom are studying. Earlier she used to be stressed about household expenses, but now she is stress-free as she has the facility to pay the children’s fees as well as to buy linen for the shop. She has expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for this scheme.
