Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. M.K. Stalin’s English New Year Message

Renewing Faith in Indian Democracy, 2024 Concludes, Welcoming 2025

The Tamil Nadu government’s Dravidian Model has showcased consistent progress throughout 2024 with groundbreaking initiatives. Among them are:

  • The Chief Minister’s Rural Sports Equipment Distribution Program
  • Expansion of the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme
  • Introduction of the Pudhumai Penn Scheme for girl students in government schools
  • The Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, empowering women with economic independence, benefiting 1.48 lakh additional women
  • Phase 2 of the Nutrition Security Program, ensuring a healthier Tamil Nadu
  • Successful completion of over 2 crore treatments under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme
  • Over 500 million free bus rides under the Women’s Free Bus Travel Scheme
  • Recognition for Tamil Nadu’s Naan Mudhalvan Scheme, nurturing student talents nationally
  • Implementation of the Athikadavu-Avinashi Water Project

These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to societal welfare and development, setting new benchmarks in governance.

The resounding success of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in contributing to the “40 out of 40” Lok Sabha seats in 2024 underscored the public’s recognition of these achievements. This victory has reinforced India’s secular voice and solidified Tamil Nadu’s pivotal role in protecting democracy and promoting inclusiveness.

As we step into 2025, I wish for peace to prevail globally and for harmony to flourish within our nation. May Tamil Nadu continue to lead by example, fostering social unity and economic prosperity. Let every home be filled with love, joy, and contentment.

Wishing everyone a Happy English New Year!
