Sports Minister Hosts Mizoram Team Selection for Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2025

Aizawl : An event was held at the office of Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of State for Sports & Youth Services, MINECO, Aizawl, to select the Mizoram team for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2025.

The national-level dialogue for young leaders will be held on January 11 and 12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event will bring together exceptional young minds, experts, and key government officials from across India to discuss various topics under the overarching goal of advancing India’s development journey.

The selection process for the event began in November 2024 with Stage One, which involved an online quiz. This was followed by Stage Two, an essay competition, and Stage Three, a state-level PPT presentation. After rigorous rounds of evaluation, 12 participants were shortlisted to represent Mizoram at the event.

Addressing the selected participants, Sports Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar encouraged them to prepare diligently for their trip to Delhi. “This is a golden opportunity for you to showcase your skills and insights at a national platform. Approach this with determination and confidence. While challenges may arise, let them strengthen your resolve, and may your success inspire others,” he said.

The Minister further emphasized the importance of discipline and preparation: “Success requires consistent effort and strategic planning. Even if the odds seem daunting, we believe in your potential. Strive to do your best and seize this opportunity to make Mizoram proud.”

The Mizoram team will compete in four thematic areas as part of the dialogue:

  1. Tech for Viksit Bharat
  2. Enhancing Productivity in Agriculture
  3. Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat
  4. Empowering Women and Improving Social Indicators

The team will be led by Dr. Rosaline Varsangzuali and Dr. H. Lalzuithangi, both Associate Professors at Govt. Hrangbana College.

Prominent officials present at the selection event included Pu Mark Lalthanliana (Jt. Secretary, Sports & Youth Services), Pu H. Lalhmingthanga (Director, Sports & Youth Services Department), Pu Laltanpuia (Jt. Director, Higher and Technical Education), and other key government representatives.
