Prime Minister Swanidhi Yojana is a boon for street vendors

Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana is proving to be a boon for street vendors. Mr. Anand Soni of Surajpur district sets up a litti chokha cart at the bus stand, with the income of which he is taking care of his family well. He got this source of income under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. For which he first took a loan of 10,000, then a loan of 20,000 rupees and after repaying this too, he got a loan of 50,000 as the third loan. He told that I increased my income by expanding the business with the amount received, due to which there has been a huge change in my economic and social status. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, he said that this scheme has helped street vendors like us a lot.

It is worth noting that the Central Government has launched the PM Swanidhi Yojana on 1 June 2020 to increase the income of poor street vendors in all the states of the country. Under the PM Swanidhi Yojana, there is a provision of a loan of ten thousand rupees as the first loan, twenty thousand rupees in the second loan and fifty thousand rupees in the third loan for the street vendors in the urban areas who want to set up their own business or want to expand their business. To benefit the urban street vendors from the scheme, forms are filled in all the urban bodies and the case is sent to the banks.
