Yovi govt issues 25,000 ration cards for Mahakumbh

Mahakumbh Nagar : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made special arrangements for devotees attending the Mahakumbh this year. To cater to their needs, 25,000 new ration cards have been issued, with over 12,000 people already receiving their ration.

The newly created ration cards aim to ensure the availability of food for all, and the process is ongoing to ensure that no one faces a shortage of essential items during the event.

Sunil Singh, the District Supply Officer of Mahakumbh Nagar, confirmed that over 12,000 people have already received their ration, and the process continues, offering much-needed relief to the attendees.

In addition, more than 35,000 gas cylinders have been refilled, and 3,500 new gas connections provided. A daily refilling of 5,000 gas cylinders is also being carried out to meet the demand.

Special arrangements have also been made for the Akhadas and Kaalpvasis, with wheat being provided at ₹5 per kg and rice at ₹6 per kg. In the fair area, 138 special stalls have been set up where devotees can purchase essential items at reasonable prices.

To meet the gas cylinder needs of the Akhadas, Kaalpvasis, and institutions, agencies in each sector are providing gas connections within the Mahakumbh area.
