Raipur: Harness Youth Innovation for Development – Governor Ramen Deka
Raipur : Governor Ramen Deka emphasized the importance of utilizing the ideas and innovative thinking of the younger generation to drive developmental activities in the region. He urged officials to actively engage youth in innovation initiatives to ensure their contributions toward progress.
During a meeting, the Governor also instructed officials to plant trees and provide necessary care for their growth. He stressed that environmental conservation is possible only through community participation and highlighted the importance of preserving water and forests for human survival.
Governor Deka shared these views during a one-day visit to Bastar, where he attended a meeting at the Inspiration Conference Hall of the Collector’s Office in Jagdalpur.
In the meeting, the Governor reviewed various initiatives in the district, including:
- Tuberculosis eradication programs and the impact of food baskets on patients’ health.
- Facilities for senior citizens and differently-abled children.
- Water conservation efforts and the activities of the Red Cross Society.
- Anti-addiction campaigns and yoga-based health initiatives.
- Efforts to reintegrate school dropouts into the education system.
- Promotion of organic farming and waste management strategies by the district administration.
He issued necessary directives for improving these initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Governor’s Secretary C.R. Prasanna, Commissioner Doman Singh, IG Sundarraj P., DIG Kanker Amit Kamble, Collector Haris S., SP Shalabh Sinha, and other officials.
