Chants of ‘Har-Har Mahadev,’ ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ and ‘Modi-Yogi’ resonated through the streets and ghats of Prayagraj

Mahakumbhnagar : On Thursday, during Maha Kumbh 2025, all permanent and temporary ghats, including the sacred Triveni Sangam, were teeming with devotees and pilgrims immersed in spiritual fervor. Many among them were those who had skipped their holy dip on Wednesday due to the heavy crowd and instead chose to bathe on Thursday, coinciding with the Pratipada of Gupt Navratri.

Alongside performing rituals, devotees from across the world lauded the efforts of the local administration and the Yogi government for the well-organized and seamless arrangements at Maha Kumbh.

Notably, the Mela administration has urged people to remain patient amid the anticipated large crowds on Basant Panchami, Magh Purnima, and Mahashivratri bathing days and to take necessary precautions during this period.

Despite the exhaustion of their long journeys, the enthusiasm and devotion of the bathers on Thursday remained undiminished. Along with Sangam Nose, a massive crowd gathered at the raw and paved bathing ghats on the Jhunsi and Arail sides. The spiritual fervor was evident as devotees continuously chanted ‘Har-Har Mahadev,’ ‘Jai Ganga Maiya,’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ with slogans of ‘Modi-Yogi’ echoing through the air.

A common sentiment among the bathers was that the grandeur and divinity of the current Maha Kumbh are a testament to the efforts of the double-engine government. They expressed that this government has upheld and elevated Sanatan values in a way no other administration could.

Devotees credited this transformation to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efficient execution by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Additionally, people widely praised the administration’s meticulous planning and its swift response during emergencies, ensuring a seamless experience for all.

Mukesh Bhagat, who traveled from Nagpur with his family, shared that while he faced difficulty reaching Kila Ghat from the Arail side due to the heavy crowd, the moment he took a dip in the sacred river, he felt a surge of new energy. Similarly, Ghanshyam, who arrived from Panipat to bathe at Sangam Nose, expressed that participating in this holy event was not just the result of his own deeds but also the blessings and virtues of his ancestors.

Ramavatar Chaudhary from Sikar, Rajasthan, echoed the same sentiment, saying that the instant the cold waters of the Ganga touched his body, all fatigue and worries seemed to vanish in an instant.

On Thursday, a massive crowd of devotees from across the country and abroad, along with local residents, gathered to take a holy dip. Many arrived weary from their long journeys, with some even bearing blisters on their feet. Yet, after overcoming these hardships and immersing themselves in the sacred waters, their faces reflected deep faith, peace, and the profound joy of witnessing a truly divine moment.
