Training Conducted for Polling Officials in Kolasib

Kolasib : A training session was conducted today in Kolasib for polling officials in preparation for the Village Council Election scheduled for 12th February 2025.

The training took place at Govt. Kolasib College and was conducted by Pi Doris Lalrinawmi, BDO Thingdawl, Pi Zorinsangi, SDC, and Pu Lalthanzuala, SDC. A total of 91 Presiding Officers and 173 Polling Officers participated in the session.

According to the Village Council Electoral Roll for Kolasib District:

• In 4-Turial (ST) A/C, there are 5,598 households, with 8,966 male voters and 9,441 female voters, totaling 18,407 voters.
• In 5-Kolasib (ST) A/C, there are 6,698 households, with 11,120 male voters and 12,604 female voters, totaling 23,724 voters.
• In 6-Serlui (ST) A/C, there are 6,064 households, with 10,331 male voters and 10,883 female voters, totaling 21,214 voters.

Overall, Kolasib District has 18,360 households, with 30,417 male voters and 32,928 female voters, making a total of 63,345 voters.

Prior to this, an initial training session was conducted on 28th January 2025. Today’s session served as a follow-up to reinforce guidelines, procedures, and key instructions to ensure a smooth, free, and fair Village Council Election. Election Officer Pu H. Lalramliana, SDO(S) Kolasib, presided over the training session.
