Priyanka, Dimple hold a grand road show in Varanasi

Lok Sabha 24 : In a significant political spectacle, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party Mainpuri MP Dimple Yadav, wife of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, jointly led an impressive roadshow in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency on a Saturday evening.

Joining them was UP Congress president and INDIA bloc candidate from Varanasi, Ajay Rai, amplifying the event’s political resonance. The roadshow commenced with the blessings of Maa Duga at Durgakund, where fervent supporters showered rose petals over Priyanka, Dimple, and Ajay Rai, who stood in an open vehicle.

Prior to the roadshow, both Priyanka Gandhi and Dimple Yadav sought blessings from Mata Kushmanda, the revered fourth form of Maa Durga at Durgakund, setting a spiritual tone for the journey. The route, adorned with more than 21 temples including Manas Mandir, Tridev Mandir, and Sankatmochan Mandir, witnessed enthusiastic greetings from Congress workers at every turn.

As the roadshow progressed, stops were made to engage with the public, where Congress leaders and Dimple addressed the crowd, rallying support for Ajay Rai and the INDIA bloc. Rai, in turn, warmly greeted the public, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie.

Notably, the absence of a planned visit to Kashi Vishwanath Dham by Priyanka and Dimple added intrigue to the event. This historic roadshow marked the first joint participation of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and SP MP Dimple Yadav, signaling a unified front in the political landscape.
