Ensure All Arrangements for the Successful Conduct of REET-2024 — Collector

No Negligence Will Be Tolerated in the Integrity and Transparency of the Examination — Officers Instructed to Take Every Possible Step to Prevent Cheating and Paper Leaks
Strict Action Will Be Taken Under the Rajasthan Public Examination Act

Jaipur : To ensure the successful conduct of the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET-2024), which will be held on 27th and 28th February, District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni directed officials to make all necessary arrangements. Chairing the district-level examination coordination committee meeting at the Collectorate auditorium on Monday, the district collector reviewed the preparations for the exam.

Dr. Soni, following the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, sternly advised the officials to ensure there is no negligence in the conduct of the exam. He emphasized that every possible effort must be made to prevent cheating and paper leaks.

During the meeting, the police officials were instructed to take swift and effective action against any form of cheating or irregularity during the recruitment exam, ensuring that the examination is conducted with full integrity and transparency. All security agencies, including the police, will remain vigilant and ensure a successful and transparent conduct of the exam.

Nodal Officer of the District Examination Coordination Committee and Additional District Collector (East), Shri Gopal Singh Shekhawat, informed that stringent actions will be taken against those involved in activities such as paper leaks and cheating during the exam, under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act.

Provisions of the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act:

Under Section 10(1) of the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2022 (Act No. 6 of 2022) and the Amendment Act 2023 (Act No. 17 of 2023), offenders will be punished with 3 years of imprisonment and a fine of ₹1 lakh. Under Section 10(2), those found guilty may face up to 10 years of imprisonment, which could extend to life imprisonment, along with a fine of up to ₹10 lakh, or 5 years of imprisonment if the fine is not paid. Seizure and confiscation of property of those involved in such serious crimes may also be carried out.

The meeting was attended by Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, Additional District Collector (Second) Shri Ashish Kumar, Additional District Collector (Fourth) Shri Devendra Kumar Jain, Additional District Collector (South) Shri Santosh Kumar Meena, as well as officers from the Police Department, Jaipur Development Authority, Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Transport Department, Education Department, Health and Medical Department, and other related departments.
