Under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Pronnati Yojana, paddy farmers will receive an additional benefit of Rs. 4,000 per hectare: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while addressing the Farmers’ Conference in Balaghat, announced a significant benefit for paddy farmers in the state. He stated that paddy farmers will now receive an additional benefit of Rs 4,000 per hectare. Additionally, wheat farmers will be given a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that under the Minimum Support Price Scheme (MSP), 6.69 lakh farmers sold paddy cultivated over 12.2 lakh hectares in 2024. As part of the Mukhyamantri Krishak Pronnati Yojana, paddy farmers will receive Rs 4,000 per hectare, amounting to a total additional benefit of Rs 488 crore for farmers in the state. Similarly, wheat farmers will get a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal, over and above the MSP of Rs 2,425 per quintal, bringing the total price per quintal to Rs 2,600. This year, wheat procurement in the state is estimated at 80 lakh metric tons, ensuring an additional benefit of Rs 1,400 crore for farmers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to welfare initiatives across all sections of society. He announced that one lakh government job recruitments are underway, and in the next five years, 2.7 lakh jobs will be created across various sectors. The government aims to ensure 70% youth employment by 2028.

Dr. Yadav also assured that all existing government welfare schemes will continue without interruptions. He emphasized that the state government is working diligently to maintain Madhya Pradesh’s top position in development. At the conference, he administered a pledge for development to all attendees.

Additionally, he distributed assistive devices to 1,412 differently-abled individuals and 1,040 senior citizens, along with benefits under various government schemes.

Dr. Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for India’s economic progress, stating that under his leadership, India’s economy has moved from 11th to 5th position globally and is now advancing toward 4th place. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh has the highest GSDP growth rate in India at 13%.

The Chief Minister directed the local administration to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural), reaffirming that no person in the state will remain without a permanent house.

In a major boost for sports in Balaghat, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated a new Astro-Turf hockey field. He expressed pride in the achievements of Madhya Pradesh’s athletes at both national and international levels and celebrated the state’s third-place ranking at the recent National Games in Uttarakhand.

Dr. Yadav assured that the government will provide ample opportunities for youth to excel in their chosen fields and is committed to overall development.

Calling Balaghat the “Mineral Capital” due to its rich copper and manganese deposits, Dr. Yadav highlighted the district’s economic significance. He also emphasized the government’s strict stance against Naxalism, stating that under Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s leadership, efforts to eradicate Naxalism are in full force. He assured that Madhya Pradesh will not allow Naxalism to take root and that strictest action will be taken against Naxal elements.

Inauguration and Foundation Laying of Development Projects

During his visit, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 117 development projects worth Rs 326.60 crore in Balaghat district. The Key inaugurated projects a of Rs 264 crore for 78 development projects, including Rs 145 crore for CM Rise Schools in Balaghat, Birsa, Waraseoni, Malajkhand, and Lalbarra, Rs 53 crore for school upgrades and hostel construction in Baihar, Pansarwada, and Khairlanji, Rs 10 crore for roads and bridges, Rs 9.3 crore for a bridge on the Waraseoni-Khandwa road, Rs 7.26 crore for Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Hockey Astro-Turf, and Rs 5.6 crore for Anganwadi centers. Additionally, foundation stones were laid for 39 development projects worth Rs 62 crore, including Rs 24 crore for a 50-bed hospital in Waraseoni, Rs 9.12 crore for a new tehsil office in Lamta, Rs crore for a bridge on the Khapariya to Shivnaheti-Katangi road, Rs 3 crore for school infrastructure under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, and Rs 2 crore for new primary schools in Katangjhari, Lamta, Dondria, Belgaon, and Sadra.

Local MP Smt. Paradhi thanked CM Dr. Yadav for bringing unprecedented benefits to Balaghat. She also hinted at an upcoming copper refinery in Malanjkhand with central government support. Several dignitaries, including MLAs Shri Gaurav Paradhi, Smt. Anubha Munjare, Shri Vicky Patel, District Panchayat President Shri Samrat Singh Sarswar, former ministers Shri Gaurishankar Bisen and Shri Pradeep Jaiswal, Shri Raja Lilhare, Smt. Bharati Thakur, Smt. Rekha Bisen, Shri Rajesh Pathak, Shri Kiran Bhai Trivedi and other public representatives, attended the event.

This comprehensive set of announcements and inaugurations marks a major push for agriculture, employment, infrastructure, sports, and security in Balaghat and Madhya Pradesh.
