Delegation of Chhattisgarh Working Journalists’ Association Meets Chief Minister

Expresses Gratitude for Special Budget Provisions for Journalists

Raipur : A delegation of the Chhattisgarh Working Journalists’ Association met Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence office today. They expressed their gratitude for doubling the Journalist Honorarium Fund and introducing new budgetary provisions for journalists. On this occasion, the delegation also presented the Vishnu Purana to the Chief Minister.

Notably, the Chhattisgarh state budget has increased the Journalist Honorarium Fund from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 per month. Additionally, ₹1 crore has been allocated for journalists’ exposure visits, and another ₹1 crore has been earmarked for the renovation and expansion of the Raipur Press Club building.

The delegation also extended their appreciation to Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary and Media Advisor Pankaj Jha for the special budgetary provisions. The meeting was attended by Arvind Awasthi (President, Chhattisgarh Working Journalists’ Association), Rajesh Mishra (Convenor), Vice Presidents Bharat Yogi and Mohan Tiwari, and District President Ram Sahu.
