MCB: Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme Benefiting Citizens
Mobile Medical Unit Bus Providing Doorstep Healthcare Services
MCB : The Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme is significantly benefiting the underprivileged and economically weaker sections by providing improved healthcare services. Under this initiative, the Chirmiri Municipal Corporation has deployed two Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) buses to serve all 40 wards in the region.
These Mobile Medical Unit buses act as mini-hospitals on wheels, equipped with medical staff, diagnostic equipment, and essential free medicines for patients. On Monday, medical camps were organized in Ward No. 01 (Podi) and Ward No. 38 (Domnahill Football Ground) under this scheme. In Podi, 30 patients underwent health checkups, while 10 patients received lab tests, with all diagnosed individuals receiving free medication.
The Chhattisgarh government continues to enhance healthcare facilities, and the Mobile Medical Unit service is a key initiative to provide doorstep medical care. The MMU conducts 42 different types of tests, including CPC machine tests, LFT (Liver Function Test), thyroid tests, Vitamin B-12, Vitamin D-03, uric acid levels, and various other diagnostic screenings.
The camp was attended by Dr. Kiran Kishore, Dr. Suman Pandey, ANM Sunita Karpharma, Lab Technician Sushil Yadav, Pharmacists Nancy, Subhash, Roshan Singh, Lab Technician Alma Ekka, and other medical staff.
