Chhattisgarh Kunbi Samaj Delegation Meets CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Expresses Gratitude for Tax Exemption on Film “Chhava”
Presents Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Idol, Highlights Cottage Industry Initiatives
Raipur : A 20-member delegation of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Kunbi Samaj Mahasangathan met with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and expressed their gratitude for the state’s decision to exempt the film “Chhava” from tax. The film, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will now be more accessible to the public, helping in the dissemination of historical knowledge in a simple and engaging manner.
During the meeting, the delegation honored CM Sai by presenting an idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a Marathi cap, a shawl, and a coconut. They commended his leadership in ensuring good governance and progress in the state. Additionally, the delegation requested the declaration of a public holiday on Shivaji Jayanti.
Women representatives Sarika Gedekar and Manisha Barse briefed the CM about Kunbi Samaj’s cottage industry initiatives aimed at promoting self-employment. They shared details about their production and packaging of turmeric, chili, and spices, which are being sold in the market. CM Sai appreciated the initiative, calling it a significant step towards women’s empowerment.
The delegation also discussed the construction of the Kunbi Samaj community building and presented their future action plans for the welfare of the community. The meeting was attended by Ranjeet Bhau Muneshwar, Umesh Ghodmod, Sarika Gedekar, Manisha Barse, Dilip Gedekar, Hemraj, Prem Bohre, Vasudev Funde, Ragini Gedekar, Sangita Bhandarkar, Rinku, and other office bearers.
