Urban Development Minister Attends Holi Milan Event at Shekhawati Press Club, Sikar
Jaipur : Urban Development and Local Self-Government Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra announced that the state government is actively working on allocating land for journalists. Initially, journalist residential colonies will be developed at the divisional level, followed by their establishment at district headquarters. He assured that a work plan will be formulated soon, and implementation will commence promptly.
Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra made these remarks while addressing the Holi Milan ceremony organized at the Press Club in Sikar on Saturday. Emphasizing positive journalism, he noted how the media landscape has evolved, transitioning from an era when people relied on radio and television for news to the present, where technology and digital media dominate. He acknowledged the significant role of both electronic and print media, stressing that positive journalism yields positive results. He also shared insights into the various development projects undertaken by the Urban Development and Local Self-Government Department.
Speaking to journalists, Minister Kharra confirmed that municipal elections in the state will be conducted by November. He extended his best wishes to all journalists on the occasion of Holi Milan, wishing them success and prosperity.
