Revenue Officials Assess Crop Damage Following Hailstorm and Storms in Jaipur

Jaipur : Several areas in Jaipur district have suffered crop damage due to hailstorms, rain, and strong winds. Acting on the instructions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, revenue officials visited affected farmlands to assess the extent of the damage.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni personally inspected severely affected areas, including Rampura, Sonkotda, and Dagarwara, where he interacted with farmers and evaluated the impact of the hailstorm and adverse weather. He has directed all revenue officials to coordinate with crop insurance companies to ensure that affected farmers receive compensation at the earliest as per the regulations.

During the field visit, the District Collector also educated farmers about filing compensation claims under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). He urged them to report their losses by calling the Kisan Rakshak Helpline at toll-free number 14447.

Present during the inspection were the Sub-Divisional Officer of Jamwa Ramgarh, the Tehsildar of Aandhi, and representatives of crop insurance companies. Notably, the unseasonal rains and hailstorm on March 13 caused widespread damage to crops across several regions of Jaipur.
