Announces ₹1 Crore for Bar Council Renovation and E-Library Construction

Administers Oath to Newly Elected District Bar Association Office Bearers

Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has called upon legal professionals to ensure justice for the oppressed and marginalized. He made this statement while attending the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the Jashpur District Bar Association at the Jashpur District Court. On this occasion, CM Sai announced a grant of ₹1 crore for the renovation of the Bar Council and the establishment of an e-library to enhance legal resources for advocates.

The event was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed, Additional District and Sessions Judge Janardan Khare, MLAs Gomati Sai and Raimuni Bhagat, along with several distinguished guests.

Commitment to Justice and Strengthening the Judiciary

During the ceremony, CM Sai administered the oath to President Om Prakash Sai, Senior Vice President Janardan Prasad Sinha, Junior Vice President Deepika Kujur, Secretary Satya Prakash Tiwari, Joint Secretary Suraj Chaurasia, Treasurer Suchendra Kumar Singh, Librarian Gopal Prasad Rawani, and Sports & Cultural Secretary Satyendra Jolhe.

Congratulating the newly appointed officials, CM Sai emphasized the crucial role of the judiciary in democracy and urged advocates to work with dedication and integrity to expedite legal proceedings. He stressed that ensuring accessible justice for the most disadvantaged sections of society must be a priority.

Historical Contribution of the Jashpur Bar Association

Highlighting the historic contributions of the Jashpur Bar Association, CM Sai recalled the legacy of eminent legal figures like Bharatchand Kabra, Balasaheb Deshpande, and Narhari Sai, who dedicated their efforts to securing justice for the underprivileged. He encouraged legal professionals to continue this tradition by protecting people’s rights and making justice more accessible.

₹1 Crore Grant for Bar Council Renovation and E-Library

Taking a step toward modernizing legal infrastructure, CM Sai announced a ₹1 crore grant for the renovation of the Bar Council and the establishment of an e-library. He noted that digital resources would provide advocates and law students easy access to the latest legal updates, case references, and research materials, thereby improving judicial efficiency.

The Strong Bond Between the Judiciary and Bar Association

Speaking at the event, Principal District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed emphasized the unbreakable relationship between the judiciary and the Bar Association, urging advocates to uphold the dignity of the legal system and extend legal aid to the most marginalized communities.

The ceremony concluded with discussions on the role of advocates in society, the need for legal assistance, and ways to enhance the efficiency of the judicial system.

Among those present were Collector Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh, Pawan Sai, Krishna Kumar Rai, Rampratap Singh, and several senior advocates and prominent citizens.
