Rs 111 crore allocated for comprehensive road repairs in UP
Lucknow : The Yogi Adityanath government spearheads a large-scale road transformation initiative across Uttar Pradesh. Administrative and financial approval has been granted for the special repair of 346 roads, with a total budget exceeding Rs 111 crore.
Of this, Rs 66.67 crore has been allocated from the State Road Fund. The project will cover urban and rural roads across more than 40 districts, significantly improving traffic flow and enhancing public convenience.
The Chief Engineer and Head of the Public Works Department have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of these repairs.
The initiative will benefit residents of key districts, including Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Bijnor, Sitapur, Barabanki, Moradabad, Bareilly, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Hardoi, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Pilibhit, Farrukhabad, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Sonbhadra, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Orai (Jalaun), Lakhimpur Kheri, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Sant Kabir Nagar, Banda, Amroha, Hapur, Sultanpur, Jhansi, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, and Balrampur.
CM Yogi Adityanath has emphasised ensuring that all construction and development projects adhere to strict quality and time-bound execution standards.
With this vision, the Chief Engineer (Development) and the Head of the Public Works Department have been tasked with overseeing the completion of the repairs.
This initiative is set to revamp the state’s road infrastructure, offering smoother connectivity and a renewed look at major routes across Uttar Pradesh.
