Fire Incident at Diltlang ‘S’ Inspected

Lawngtlai : At around 12:30 AM last night, a fire broke out in Diltlang ‘S’ village, completely gutted two residential houses and partially affected nine others, leaving 17 families displaced. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Following the incident, government officials inspected the affected site as per the directive of the Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai. The inspection team was led by Pu Collin Hlychho, BDO, Lawngtlai, and the Zonal Officer on Disaster Management.

In response to the disaster, the DC Office, with the support of CYLA, distributed 10 Silpaulin sheets to the victims, while the BDO Office, Bungtlang ‘S’, provided six more.

The Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai assured that further relief measures would be provided to those affected.
