Tamil Nadu CM Thiru M.K. Stalin Issues Appointment Orders to 621 Selected Candidates

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) and Medical Recruitment Board (MRB) selected 621 candidates for various posts. Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, issued appointment orders to these candidates.

At the Secretariat, Honourable CM Stalin presented appointment orders to:

  • 64 candidates in the Animal Husbandry sector,
  • 166 candidates in the Handloom and Textiles sector,
  • 391 candidates in the Medical and Public Welfare sector, making a total of 621 appointments.

The CM directed respective department officials to ensure smooth deployment of these candidates.

As announced in the 2025-26 Tamil Nadu State Budget, the government plans to fill 40,000 vacancies in the current financial year, and steps are being taken swiftly in that regard. Today, the CM issued orders as a part of this initiative.


Animal Husbandry Sector Appointments

Based on the 2021-22 grant announcement for departments such as Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, and through TNPSC, 47 candidates were selected for positions in Aavin (TN Cooperative Milk Producers Federation):

  • Executive (Construction) – 3
  • Manager (Veterinary) – 23
  • Manager (Finance) – 13
  • Manager (Engineering) – 7
  • Manager (Construction) – 1

They have now joined service and are working at various milk producer unions.

Additionally, compassionate appointments were given to 64 family dependents of employees who passed away while serving in the Aavin Milk Federation. These included:

  • Junior Executive (Office),
  • Senior Factory Assistant.

From 2021 till now, 111 candidates have benefitted from such appointments.

Among the 64 newly selected candidates:

  • 29 were appointed as Junior Executive (Office),
  • 11 as Milk Recorder Grade-III,
  • 24 as Senior Factory Assistant.

As a symbolic gesture, appointment orders were issued to 3 of them by the Chief Minister today.


Handloom and Textiles Sector Appointments

In the Handloom and Textiles Department, to compensate for staff retirements and improve sales of Co-optex handloom products, 166 Assistant Salesmen were selected through TNPSC:

  • 90 male candidates
  • 76 female candidates

Today, the CM symbolically handed over appointment orders to 5 of them.


Medical and Public Welfare Sector Appointments

The Tamil Nadu government has consistently filled vacant posts in this sector from 2021 onwards. Through the Medical Recruitment Board, 7,346 candidates have been appointed for various roles including:

  • Pharmacists,
  • Assistant Surgeons (General),
  • Assistant Surgeons (Specialist),
  • Lab Technicians,
  • Dark Room Assistants,
  • Field Assistants,
  • Dialysis Technicians.

Additionally, TNPSC recruited:

  • 1,393 candidates as Junior Assistants, Assistants, Typists, and Steno-Typists.
  • 133 candidates through compassionate appointments.

In total, 8,872 appointments were made in this department since 2021.

Among the newly selected 391 candidates:

  • 74 were chosen for ECG Technician posts,
  • 44 for Physiotherapist posts (via MRB),
  • 205 as Junior Assistants and
  • 68 as Typists (via TNPSC).

Today, the CM symbolically issued appointment orders to 5 of these candidates.

  • Textile Secretary Tmt. K. Amudhavalli (IAS),
  • Secretary for Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries Dr. N. Subbaiyan (IAS),
  • Managing Director of Aavin Thiru A. Anbazhagan (IAS),
  • MD of Cooptex Thiru Deepak Jacob (IAS), and other senior government officials.
