Former Cricketer Kedar Jadhav Joins BJP
Former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a function held at the party’s Mumbai office in Nariman Point. Senior BJP leaders welcomed him by draping the party scarf around his shoulders.
Paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Jadhav expressed admiration for the BJP’s development-oriented politics under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He stated that his decision to join the party was driven by a desire to contribute to the progress of Maharashtra.
Welcoming Jadhav, senior BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule said he was pleased to have a personality like Jadhav in the party. Highlighting Jadhav’s versatile talents, he added that the former cricketer would now be an asset to the BJP family.
