IPL 2025: KL Rahul’s Unbeaten 93 Guides Delhi Capitals to Six-Wicket Victory Over RCB

In Match 24 of IPL 2025, the Delhi Capitals (DC) registered a commanding six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on April 10 (Thursday). Chasing a target of 164, Delhi comfortably reached the mark with 13 balls to spare, thanks to a stellar unbeaten knock from KL Rahul.

Rahul, playing a match-winning innings, scored 93* off just 53 balls, hitting seven boundaries and six sixes. His composed yet aggressive batting ensured Delhi’s fourth consecutive win this season. Meanwhile, this marked RCB’s second defeat in five matches.

The chase, however, did not begin well for Delhi. The team lost two quick wickets for just 10 runs. Faf du Plessis (2) was the first to fall to Yash Dayal, followed by Jake Fraser-McGurk (7), who was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The situation worsened when ‘impact substitute’ Abhishek Porel (7) was caught behind off Bhuvneshwar, and captain Axar Patel (15) departed soon after, reducing DC to 58/4.

Despite the early collapse, Rahul held his ground. He found a reliable partner in Tristan Stubbs, and together they stitched a record-breaking 111-run partnership for the fifth wicket — the highest for Delhi Capitals in IPL history for that position. Stubbs remained unbeaten on 38 off 23 balls, ensuring a smooth finish.

With this win, Delhi Capitals continue their strong run in IPL 2025, while RCB will look to regroup after another disappointing outing.
