Yogi govt prioritizes skill development and personal growth in upcoming summer camps

Lucknow : In line with its vision to nurture a capable and confident young generation, the Yogi Adityanath-led government is launching specially curated summer camps in select council schools across Uttar Pradesh. With skill enhancement and personal growth at the core, these camps will run from May 20 to June 15, transforming the summer break into a valuable learning experience for children.

Spearheaded by the Basic Education Department, the initiative is a part of the government’s broader mission to instil key life qualities in children from an early age, ensuring that the youth of Uttar Pradesh are well-equipped to lead and succeed in the future. The camps will be held for an hour and a half every morning, following the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They will include a blend of fun, fitness, and foundational learning.

Children will participate in diverse activities, such as yoga, sports, life skills training, personality development, and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)-based learning. These activities foster physical and mental growth and enhance creativity, communication, and cognitive skills.
To ensure effective execution, the camps will be supervised by Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and teachers, with added support from NGOs and graduate volunteers. This will create a dynamic and collaborative environment for young learners.

Recognizing the importance of health and nutrition, the government has also made provisions for wholesome snacks, including jaggery chikki, millet laddoos, ramdana laddoos, and jaggery-chana, ensuring that children remain energized and focused throughout the sessions.

This ambitious initiative is a testament to the Yogi government’s commitment to transforming primary education in the state. These summer camps are more than just seasonal activities—they are vital stepping stones in building a bright, self-reliant, and empowered Uttar Pradesh.
