Excise & Narcotics Personnel Seize Illicit Liquor at Thiltlang, Hnahthial District

Hnahthial : On the night of 12th April 2025, a joint operation by the Excise & Narcotics Department (Enforcement), Hnahthial District, and Thiltlang NGO volunteers led to the seizure of 20 litres of illicit liquor (Rakzu) and the arrest of F. Laldingliana (53) of Thiltlang village. The operation took place near NH-02 highway between Thiltlang and Pangzawl in the Thiltlang area.

In addition to the seized liquor, the team also confiscated the vehicle used for transporting the liquor — a grey Ignis car, bearing registration number MZ-02C-4419.

The seized items were produced before the Lunglei Court on 13th April 2025, and the accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
